Life

Entrapped in ancient rocks, life waits for the reawakening in the depths of our solar system.
The Sun surrounds and embraces each fragment (no matter how big or small it is) and it keeps this bound to himself…
Harmonies…
…And we, sons of “primordial” oceans, on a planet which is light-blue because of water…
Maybe the same water brought on the Earth really by ancient rocks…
We raise our sight… away… we the explorers… now thanks to new technologies we try to get to the place where we started from…
It is a never-ending spiral… sparkles of light… a look into the future to find again our ancient origins…

“Life” has become a reality thanks to the help of the Astronomical Observatory of Aosta Valley (OAVdA) - Saint- Barthélemy, after a contest promoted by NASA. The contest, “Asteroidmission: WeTheExplores”, (“NASA Invites Public to Send Artwork to an Asteroid”), was thought for the OSIRIS-Rex Mission, sent towards the asteroid Bennu. The work of Cristina Cereda was chosen and now, together with the others selected by NASA, it is travelling in the Solar System. “Life” has been present on the Facebook page of the Astronomical Observatory of Aosta (OAVdA), since the 12th September 2016.
